It’s that time of year again when the team hit the road! Come join us!

Join us at the 2023 Roadshow where we'll be sharing our latest news and updates in three face to face sessions around the country and a Zoom session, ideal if your out of the country.

This is your chance to meet our staff, understand everything there is to know about us in a selection of captivating worshops.

It’s free to book and includes refreshments and snacks to keep you fuelled up. 

Each of the team will be covering the following topics at each location:

Board Introductions - Hear from our new Board members, Dave, Tanya, Jet and Rhys.

CEO - Come and find out about our strategic plan for 2024 - 2028.

Performance Pathway - How developing the pathway within a club’s structure can benefit all paddlers.

Coaching - Q&A session with Andy Turton, our Interim Coaching Manager about anything in the British Canoeing Awarding Body scheme.

Development & Safeguarding - How can we encourage more young paddlers and keep them in our clubs?

Marketing - How to make the most of your paddling journey through social media.

Membership - Q&A with Suzanne - Meet our new Membership Officer and find out how she can help you with your club admin.

Places to paddle - Join the debate on how we could raise the subject of Access with the Welsh Government? Q&A and discussion.

Environment and Sustainability - Q&A Sustainability session and discussion. Look at achievable ways of reducing your carbon footprint.

For the first time ever… (Not at Llandysul Roadshow)

We are holding pre roadshow water workshops - 5.30pm - 6.45pm at each venue (excl. online).

Each location will have it's own water workshop options as follows:

CIWW in Cardif Session - 18th April 2023

Water workshop: Come and have a go at sprint/slalom and see how your club can get involved with Nick Fowler-Rimell and the Canoe Wales Performance team, Age 12 plus if under 18 a guardian must be present. Be kitted up at the top of the ramp down to the water at 5.40 pm.

The main Roadshow will commence at 7pm, in the topic format as above, except there will be no Coaching and Places to Paddle presentations in this location due to poor booking numbers. To see these please book onto a later roadshow.

Online Zoom Session - 24th April 2023 - No Pre Roadshow Water Sessions

Plas Menai in North Wales Session - 4th May 2023

Session 2. Dryland slalom comp How to introduce slalom into your club, running and walking rather than on the water with Jonathan 

Llandysul Sesson - 7th June 2023 - NEW DATE!!

The plan is for this to be an interactive Roadshow for young people to get fully involved!

Session 1. Understanding the difference between the elements of the paddle awards with Andy Turton 

Session 2. Come and have a go at slalom 

Session 3. Come and try SUP

Session 4. Run the rapids in a kayak or inflatable
