Gwion started paddling a long time ago at Llandysul Paddlers with his 3 brothers and absolutely loved it, he also plays rugby, trains 12 times a week, mostly with the Llandysul Paddlers Club but enjoys weekly sessions in Cardiff on CIWW since the age of 9 with many weekends away training in HPP and Lee Valley, he clearly loves every second on the water.
He is incredibly driven to be the fastest and best athlete he can be and has been a part of the performance programme for many years. Not only that but he was on the GB Junior Team Reserve List in 2023 and is hoping to get on the GB team in April 2024 to race for GB at the World Champs (Liptovský Mikuláš) and European Championships (Krakow) with the drive to ultimately become Olympic Champion. Already British champion for J17 ( age above) and has been (his age group) British champion since 12 years old every year, so it is firmly in his sights and certainly a key paddler to watch in future years.
We look forward to seeing his exciting journey continue and we'll be routing for you the whole way!
